WHAT HAPPENED?
The USWNT have seen a schedule change for this summer, with China opting out of one of two scheduled fixtures – and Jamaica is now set to fill the gap, US Soccer announced Friday.
Emma Hayes' side will still play China on May 31, but rather than face them again on June 3, will square off against Jamaica.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Jamaica and the U.S. don't have an extensive history in the women's game. The two sides have only met six times – despite both being CONCACAF members. The USWNT won the last matchup, besting the Reggae Girlz 5-0 at the 2022 W Gold Cup.

The June 3 fixture will also see Becky Sauerbrunn honored. Sauerbrunn, a long-time USWNT center back, announced in December that she is hanging up her boots. The St. Louis native ended her USWNT career with 219 appearances and two World Cups.

WHAT NEXT FOR THE USWNT?
The U.S. has six weeks off before they face China on May 31. They are coming off a mixed international window in which a young side won one and lost one against Brazil.
